There are no formal entry requirements for this qualifications. However, it is recommended that students have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or grade C, including Maths and English, and one A level, or equivalent Level 3 qualification, preferably in a relevant creative subject.International students are expected to demonstrate that they have a good

Mandatory units covered in this course are: Unit 1: Diagnostic Investigation into Creative Practice and Developing Specialist Practice Consolidating Practice. Units 1 and 2 are graded Pass only. The overall qualification grade is based on
Unit 3 and is graded as Fail, Pass, Merit or Distinction. It is designed to meet the funding requirements of: a 16–19 study programme and Lifelong Learning Entitlement.
Successful completion of the UAL Level 4 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design can lead to progression onto a wide range of higher education courses, including degrees in Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fashion Design, Photography, Animation, Interior Design, Architecture, Product Design, and other creative disciplines.
The course is designed to help you build a strong portfolio and develop the specialist knowledge, creative confidence, and independent working skills required for university-level study. Many students progress to prestigious art and design universities and creative degree programmes across the UK.
