The Investigation Process 

Initial Assessment (5-10 working days)

When we receive a report, we:

• Review the allegation
• Assess any immediate risks
• Decide if formal investigation is needed
• Inform relevant parties
• Put safety measures in place if necessary

Formal Investigation (20-30 working days) 

If formal investigation is required:

• A trained investigating officer is appointed
• Evidence and witness statements are gathered
• Interviews are conducted with all parties
• A detailed investigation report is prepared

Decision Making (5-10 working days) 

The investigation report is reviewed to:

• Decide if allegations are substantiated
• Determine appropriate actions or sanctions
• Prepare outcome letters for all parties

Appeal Process (15-20 working days) 

All parties have the right to appeal, with:
