Our virtual Wellbeing Café is a safe, inclusive environment for all our students to catchup online. The Wellbeing Café was created in response to student feedback and has given students an opportunity to feel part of our student community. The Wellbeing Café is hosted by a coordinator and opening times are advertised on our online intranet.
Throughout the academic year, students are invited to hear from guest speakers. We welcome a range of speakers from academics to CEOs. We also host an inspirational alumni series, where former students come back to give advice on how their course has enabled them to have enriching careers. We collaborate closely with universities within London and the surrounding areas and our students are often afforded access to conferences at these institutions.
As a student, you can get 30% off the cost of Transport for London services. Our university centre is a 5-minute walk from the East Croydon railway and tram station with bus stops directly opposite the campus. We also offer facilities for cyclists, and secure storage for scooters upon request. It really couldn’t be easier to get to campus.
As a student at Croydon University Centre, you will be issued with an exclusive University Centre Student ID and lanyard. Your Student ID card gives you access to the campus facilities including the Learning Resource Centre and certain restricted areas. You must wear your lanyard and Student ID at all times while on campus.
TOTUM is a student discount, proof of age ID and campus life card and platform. Enrolled students can get a TOTUM card which gives exclusive discounts from big name high street and online retailers from fashion to health and fitness to daily essentials. Note there is an initial signup charge for TOTUM.
We offer an Enrichment programme open to all our students. The programme is designed to cater to a range of interests and has a strong wellbeing focus. The programme is updated each year and past enrichment activities have included mindfulness sessions, art and photography clubs and even biscuit decorating classes. The programme often features guest appearances by career experts or social influencers. We also offer our students a range of opportunities to be part of clubs and societies including the CIMA Grad Club and membership to the British Society of Criminology, amongst others.
Located at the Croydon campus entrance on Park Lane, our training Salon and Spa is run by further education students under the supervision of our highly qualified staff with a wide range of industry experience. The latest hair, beauty and holistic treatments are offered at discounted rates offering fantastic value for money, and retail products are available at competitive rates.
