This innovative programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the rapidly expanding esports sector, combining academic theory with practical, industry-focused experience. Throughout the course, students will develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a variety of esports careers or progress to further higher education.

Esports Event Management – Planning, organising and delivering successful esports tournaments and competitions.

UCAS Tariff – 48 points:
GSCE English at grade C/4 or above (or level 2 equivalent) GSCE Maths at grade C/4 or above ( or level 2 equivalent)
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) – PPP:

Access to HE Diploma – P: 45 credits
Also, you are required to have completed level 5 Esports.
Mature Students
Mature students who do not meet the entry criteria are encouraged to apply and will be considered on the basis of relevant work experience, passing the course entrance assessment (if deemed necessary by the course tutor) and successful interview.
HND Esports Level 5 at Croydon University Centre provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the rapidly growing esports industry. Students will explore the global esports landscape, learn how to plan and manage tournaments and events, develop team management and coaching skills, and gain hands-on experience in broadcasting and live streaming.
The course also covers the business side of esports, including marketing, sponsorship, and commercial operations, alongside the legal and ethical considerations that shape the industry. This programme prepares students for a range of careers in esports management, event production, coaching, broadcasting, marketing, and business operations.
Graduates of HND in Esports at Croydon University Centre can progress into a variety of exciting careers within the esports industry, including roles such as Esports Event Coordinator, Esports Team Manager, Professional Esports Coach, Esports Media and Content Specialist, Marketing and Public Relations Executive, and Community and Social Media Manager.
HND Esports Level 5 is delivered through a mix of lectures, workshops, seminars, guest speakers, blended learning, tutorials, and practical activities. The course is designed to help students develop as independent, reflective, and confident professionals, preparing them for progression to Level 6 study or employment within the esports industry.
Students will engage in a variety of learning experiences, including group work, research projects, portfolio development, independent study, and practical tasks. These activities encourage the application of theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, helping students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and professional skills.
