Serial Killers and Offender Profiling: Course Completion and Celebration

A short course, “Serial Killers & Offender Profiling” was recently hosted by the criminology department of Croydon University Centre. This exciting course was open to current Croydon students as well as members of the public and delivered as a series of seminars over four weeks.

The twilight sessions looked at theoretical explanations of serial murder, the role of fantasy, and explored solutions to methodological flaws and Canter’s investigative psychology, including providing a psychological framework within which to analyse crime scene materials.

Attendees were welcomed with refreshments each week and on the final evening, an awards celebration took place. The short course was written and presented by the Criminology Course Leader, Lucia Guetcherian, and has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees.
