Criminology Students Visit Museum of London Docklands

Croydon University final year Criminology & Social Justice students attended the Museum of London Docklands. The group explored the new major exhibition titled, ‘Executions’. It focused on public executions and how this has shaped the lives of Londoners and the city’s landscape. This thought-provoking exhibit covered the tragic human stories from the 12th century to the 19th century. The carefully curated exhibition included sensitive and rarely seen before artefacts, from human bones to the vest worn by King Charles I when he was executed.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the trip as part of their course. Programme Leader, Lucia Guetcherian, commented,
“We are pleased that Croydon University Centre caters for our criminology students in that they are able to attend these enriching trips. The exhibition was certainly fascinating and gave our students real insights into the shaping of the city which builds on the course module, The City: Real and Imagined.”
